Alcohol and Starch Enzymes
Enzymes are used in both the alcohol and starch-processing industries to hydrolyze (break down) large starch molecules into simple sugars. Typically, this hydrolysis of starch to simple sugars is accomplished by using a two-step, enzyme-catalyzed process called liquefaction and saccharification. Specialty Enzymes also provides enzyme solutions for the advances in cellulosic alcohol production.
SEBamyl – Low - Medium Temperature
A liquid or powder enzyme formulation for use under low temperature dextrinization of distillery mashes.
SEBstar HTL – High Temperature
A heat-stable, liquid alpha-amylase enzyme used in the alcohol industry for high-temperature liquefaction of starch containing grain mashes (corn, sorghum, rice, etc.) for production of neutral spirits.
SEBamyl BA – Medium – High Temperature
A liquefied or powder-based bacterial amylase used in the alcohol industry under high temperature liquefaction of grain mashes.
SEBamyl G
(liquid & powder)-A glucoamylase enzyme used in the starch industry to produce glucose and glucose syrups from liquefied starch.
SEBpro
(liquid & powder) is a liquid protease enzyme used in food processing applications to break down protein and increase the solubility, palatability and digestibility of proteins.
SEBflo
(liquid & powder) An endo-glucanase enzyme, which catalyzes the breakdown of cereal grain beta-glucans (1,4-beta-,1,3-beta-glucans). It reduces viscosity, improves solid/liquid separation and improves filtration rates.
ViscoSEB
Is blend of enzymes used to increase filtration rates with grain mashes, particularly cereal grain mash. The beta-glucanase activity in ViscoSEB is more temperature-stable than endogenous cereal grain glucanase.
NutraSEB Yeast
Is a fortified, dried Aspergillus oryzae fermentation extract that is an ideal nutrient support system for yeast during the fermentation process. It contains protein, free-form amino acids, minerals, enzymes, vitamins, fiber and other nutrients.
SEBstar HTL – High Temperature
A heat-stable, liquid alpha-amylase enzyme used in the starch industry to continuously dextrinize gelatinized, wet-milled corn and wheat starch for the production of low-dextrose (DE 7-15) starch syrups.
SEBamyl BA – Medium – High Temperature
Liquid & Powder. A bacterial alpha-amylase enzyme used in the starch industry to continuously dextrinize gelatinized starch for the production of low-dextrose (DE 7-15) starch syrups under medium to high-temperature conditions.
SEBamyl – Low - Medium Temperature
Liquid & Powder. Amylase use for low-temperature conditions for conversion of starch to dextrins and maltose.
SEBamyl G
(liquid & powder)- A glucoamylase enzyme used in the distillery industry for saccharification and simultaneous fermentation of whole-grain mashes.
ManoSEB
An enzyme blend of cellulase, hemicellulase, mannanase, xylanase and others designed to aid in the hydrolysis of non-starch carbohydrates such as mannans and xylans.
SEBstar HTL – High Temperature
For use in fuel-alcohol production, this liquid and heat-stable alpha-amylase is used to continuously liquefy and dextrinize grain-based mashes.
SEBamyl BA 100 – Medium – High Temperature
Liquid & Powder. A purified bacterial alpha-amylase enzyme that reduces the viscosity of gelatinized starch and produces large amounts of low molecular weight oligosaccharides.
SEBamyl – Low - Medium Temperature
Liquid & powder. Amylase use for low-temperature conditions for conversion of starch to high-concentrate maltose.
SEBfuel G
(liquid & powder) A glucoamylase enzyme used for the production of high yield fermentable sugars.
SEBamyl GA 100
(liquid & powder) A glucoamylase enzyme used in fuel-alcohol production for saccharification and fermentation of whole-grain mashes
SEBpro
(liquid & powder) is a liquid protease enzyme used in food processing applications to break down and increase the solubility, dispersability, palatability and digestibility of proteins.
SEBflo
(liquid & powder) A temperature-stable beta-glucanase enzyme formulation used to supplement endogenous cereal glucanase enzyme activity when mashing or grinding malt or other cereal grains.
ViscoSEB
A temperature stable multi-enzyme blend of beta glucanase, cellulase and hemicellulases to reduce viscosity of complex non-starch carbohydrates present in cereal grains and others.
CelluSEB Fuel
(liquid & powder) A multi-enzyme preparation used to breakdown cereal grain cell-wall polysaccharides, to reduce mash viscosity and enable production of higher yields of fermentable sugars from cellulosic substrates.
NutraSEB Yeast
Is a fortified, dried Aspergillus oryzae fermentation extract that is an ideal nutrient support system for yeast during the fermentation process. It contains protein, free-form amino acids, minerals, enzymes, vitamins, fiber and other nutrients.
